White fillings, Root canal treatment, Crowns and Bridges
- We can restore, replace, rebond, recement, repair existing fillings, inlays, onlays, crown and bridges.
- We are able to match the restorative material to your natural tooth colour or go a little brighter!
- “White fillings” are either Resin or Fluoride containing adhesive materials.
- A cavity/hole in a tooth is not always visible or felt by the patient.
- If treated early you can prevent the cavity extending into the pulp/nerve chamber and avoid Root Canal Therapy.
A hole in a tooth is not always felt or visible to the patient
- However if the cavity is large, nerve tissues become irritated, infected or necrotise, and a root canal or extraction will eventually be indicated.
- Duration and cost of the procedures will vary depending on the size of the cavity, and number of canals in each tooth.
- Root canal Treatment is not always painful but is often more difficult to numb if they are infected.
- A restoration will require a post for retention and also if the tooth requires a crown later.
- A crown is recommended if the tooth requires a full coverage or a cap to better seal and protect the tooth from loading.
- Crown materials can be gold, porcelain, ceramic or zirconia.
